Compassionate Dementia Support
Michelle is a dedicated Dementia Consultant with over 15 years’ experience in residential and community care. She holds a Bachelor's in Dementia Care from the University of Tasmania and began her career designing meaningful programs that support cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being.
After moving into community care, Michelle supported families navigating the challenges of a dementia diagnosis. She played a key role in building dementia-friendly initiatives across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, partnering with organisations like the Royal Botanic Gardens, Art Gallery NSW and Taronga Zoo to deliver engaging, therapeutic programs.
Through Onward Dementia Support, Michelle now offers tailored post-diagnosis support, care strategies, and carer education. She also leads creative engagement initiatives such as a dementia choir, carer support groups, and therapeutic activities involving music, art, and movement, helping families feel confident, connected, and supported at home.
In recent years, Michelle has been commended for her contributions with awards recognising Community Impact and Service Excellence—a testament to her heartfelt commitment and innovative approach in dementia care.
